In May 1977 as part of the United States Bi-Centennial celebrations, Florida Historical society encouraged communities to dive in preserving their unique and varied history.
For Sanford, that effort started in Downtown. Over the next 50 years, it grew to include areas all over the city.
This May, we are inviting you to visit City Hall where we will be hosting an exhibition that celebrates 50 years of History Preservation. Don’t miss your chance to enjoy artifacts and exhibits from Sanford’s past as we look to the future and what more we can do to preserve our history.
